At Interagency Forestry Specialists LLC, a small business based in Grants Pass, Oregon, we are committed to delivering effective mitigation solutions to address the urgent threat of wildland fires impacting our western forests and communities. Our team of seasoned consultants brings decades of experience, working closely with state and federal agencies, non-profit forest collaboratives, fire-safe councils, fire-wise communities, and private landowners. Our mission is to apply our unmatched expertise and deep commitment to guide each project to a safe and successful outcome, whether in planning or implementation. We are passionate about empowering communities to prepare for wildland fire events and restoring our forest landscapes to their natural, historically fire-adapted states. Managing Consultant
Brian Mulhollen
As the Managing Consultant at Interagency Forestry Specialists, Brian Mulhollen brings over 30 years of expertise in wildland fire and fuels management, community forest planning, and fundraising. He began his career in 1992 in his hometown of Jacksonville, Oregon, where he played a pivotal role in developing the Jacksonville Woodlands Association Trail System. His fundraising efforts and leadership were instrumental in acquiring key parcels of land that now form the preserve surrounding the historic town.
In recognition of his outstanding contributions, Brian received two prestigious Jefferson Awards for "Outstanding Public Service" from the American Institute for Public Service in Washington, D.C., for his work on the Jacksonville Woodlands Park and Trail System in 1993.

Brian's journey in fire management began as a volunteer firefighter and EMT before progressing to a Federal Wildland Firefighter. He has held various crew and leadership positions, serving as a Hotshot, Helicopter Rappeller, and Engine Crew member. He later became a Fuels Management Specialist and Battalion Chief with the U.S. Bureau of Land Management (BLM) in Northern California. During his tenure with the BLM, Brian developed a comprehensive skill set in wildfire and fuels management operations, fire rehabilitation, community forest planning, and collaboration with fire safe councils.

A champion of interagency planning and fundraising, Brian has a proven track record of implementing effective fuels management treatments that significantly benefit the communities he serves. His expertise and commitment make him an invaluable asset to any project or treatment he undertakes.
